3.0mm stainless steel medium long link fursaver Check Chain collar made by Herm. Sprenger in Germany; these chains are available in sizes 44cm, 50cm, 55cm, 61cm & 72cm. This product is part of our Fusaver range, it is still used as a check chain collar in the normal manner, the medium length links are approximately half the size of the long link (a more audible check than the full length long link); the long & shaped links mean it is less likely to catch in the dog's coat making it a very popular choice for the medium/long haired dog. The 3.0mm (wire diameter) stainless steel collar is recommended for medium/large - large dogs similar in size/strength to the Rottweiler or German Shepherd Dog.
To calculate the correct size Check Chain for your dog, please measure the diameter around your dog's neck just behind the ears with a tape measure & add 5cm to this measurement; choose a chain that is this size or slightly larger (please note that Sprenger check chains measurements include the end rings). With some dogs the width of the head can present difficulties with fitting your collar (e.g. Bull Terriers), if you are concerned that this may be a problem measure the diameter of the largest part of your dog's head (over the base of the ears) and check that your chosen size of collar is larger.
