1.50mm gold plated Martingale round link Chain collar made by Herm. Sprenger in Germany; these chains are available in sizes 35cm, 40cm, 45cm, 50cm & 55cm. Martingale collars are often described as "limited slip", a properly fitted martingale will only close to a limited amount while still giving an audible check; the 1.50mm (wire diameter) Gold plated steel collar is recommended for small dogs similar in size/strength to the Jack Russel Terrier or Pug.
To calculate the correct size Martingale for your dog, please measure the diameter around your dog's neck just behind the ears with a tape measure & add 5cm to this measurement; choose a chain that is this size or slightly larger, but be careful it is not too large or the dog may be able to "back out" of the collar. With some dogs the width of the head can present difficulties with fitting your collar (e.g. Bull Terriers), if you are concerned that this may be a problem measure the diameter of the largest part of your dog's head (over the base of the ears) and check that your chosen size of collar is larger.

These chains are extremely attractive, often used for dog showing & just as often used by dog show-offs. Please remember that this is a real Gold plate & is not as hard a finish as the chrome. While the Gold plated chains are as strong as the chrome plated ones, the plating will wear much quicker; for this reason we do not recommend this product for dogs being trained.
